About Data Facts Lab

Hi, I'm Brittany, a math teacher with experience teaching both elementary and secondary students.

Over the years, I’ve seen how powerful repetition, vocabulary, and structured practice can be when helping students build fluency in math. I created Data Facts Lab to bring that same philosophy to data science — a field that often feels overwhelming at first, but doesn’t have to be.

What is Data Facts Lab?

Data Facts Lab is a collection of simple, beginner-friendly learning and practice files that help learners build foundational data science skills. Think of it like “math facts,” but for data — short, focused materials to reinforce key concepts, terms, and tools.

There are no long lectures, slide decks, or complex projects here. Instead, you’ll find:

  • Practice notebooks for hands-on repetition

  • Vocab-based learning files that highlight key objects, methods, and ideas

  • A clean, no-frills approach to help you get familiar with the basics — one small concept at a time

Whether you're new to coding, reviewing foundational skills, or building confidence before jumping into bigger courses, this is a space to start small and grow steadily.

Why I Built This

As a math teacher, I believe that clarity, structure, and a little daily practice go a long way. I hope that you leave this site with enough practice to understand the fundamentals of coding in Data Science.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope you find something here that helps you feel more confident working with data.
